Steven Rambam:

The average visitor to the home page of your Pallorium web site at www.pallorium.com (of which I have saved a copy so as to permit inspection of what it was like on 31-Aug-2002, in case you decide to change the original) will not take much interest in the expanse of white space that appears at the bottom of that page.  However, any visitor's curiosity might be piqued upon discovering that if he searches for the word "Leningrad" on that Pallorium page (by pressing CTRL+F on his keyboard, then typing in "Leningrad" without the quotation marks), a mysterious little "Leningrad" is discovered toward the bottom of that white space!

And the web visitor might become even more interested in that white space upon learning that there is in fact a great deal of material printed in it in the same small font as "Leningrad", and that like "Leningrad" this material is written in invisible ink, the invisible ink of the Internet.

The reason the visitor can't normally see what is in that white space is that you've printed it in white font on a white background.  Of course when I accuse you of having done this, I mean only that you either did it yourself, or more likely that you bear the responsibility of having had someone else do it for you, someone perhaps like your computer-savvy friend, and promulgator of the Top 25 Investigators of the Century Hoax, Ralph D. Thomas.

The simplest way of revealing all this hidden material is to press the left mouse button down at a point above the white space, then while continuing to hold that mouse button down, dragging the mouse pointer to the bottom of the page.  The bottom has been reached when the words "Moscow Leningrad" appear.

The visitor can discover how you produce invisible ink by right-clicking anywhere on your Pallorium page, then left-clicking "View Source," then noting that the html instruction

precedes the material which I show in blue below.  The font instruction COLOR=#ffffff, of course, is the hexadecimal equivalent of COLOR=White.  The white background can either be realized by default, or else explicitly requested (as you have done at the top of your page) by means of BGCOLOR=#ffffff, where BGCOLOR=White would have had the same effect.  I was able to bring the invisible to view below simply by demanding that font COLOR=Blue.

Why have you gone to the trouble of printing all the above, and yet printing it so that it cannot be read?

Probably, you are attempting to fool search engines into believing that your home page contains information on the topics printed in invisible ink; and by repeating words many times, trying to fool the search engines into ranking you high by giving them the impression that your home page contains a lot of information on those topics.  For example, you hope that by repeating "Steven Rambam" 15 times in the invisible ink of white font on white background, or repeating "Rambam" 32 times, search engines will give precedence to your pallorium.com web site when people search for your name.

However, perhaps those looking for information on "Moscow" or "Leningrad" would feel cheated to discover that the reason they had been led to your web site is that you had typed the words "Moscow" and "Leningrad" in invisible ink on your home page, and not because you provided any information on Moscow or Leningrad.  Perhaps visitors searching for "Toronto" or "Israel" would feel cheated if they knew that your home page ranked as high as it did on their search engines not because of the volume or quality of the information on these places, but because you typed "Toronto" 13 times in invisible ink, and "Israel" 19 times.

I see that you employ the same device at the bottom of other pages on you web site:

One wonders just how far your web site's rank on search engines would fall if you stripped it of all its invisible ink.  Of course you can expect that as search engines acquire resistance to manipulation, your invisible-ink ploy will lose effectiveness.  Heightened sophistication in resisting manipulation will include protection against being influenced by the invisible inks of red font on red background, of blue font on blue background, and so on.  A reply to my email query to LYCOS suggests that search engine managers are aware of the use of invisible ink, and disapprove of it:

When webmasters submit pages with an abundance of irrelevant keywords, we consider this to be SPAM.  These links have no value for visitors to the Lycos site.  We also discourage the use of hidden text and multiple pages with identical content.  Our software is programmed to delete any sites that attempt to SPAM the Lycos index.

However, as a LYCOS search for "Steven Rambam" does point to pallorium.com, and in fact does point to the material written in invisible ink, one may wonder whether LYCOS site rejection for the invisible-ink variety of SPAM is rigorous.

One also wonders how much farther your rank would sink if you used your real surname "Rombom" instead of "Rambam."  Using "Rambam," of course, brings you the unmerited traffic of people seeking information on Moses Maimonides who is often referred to by the acronymic Rambam, constructed � it would seem according to no simple rule � from Rabbi Moses ben Maimon.  If hypothetical web author Jesse Smith were to be inspired by your example, he might increase traffic to his site by affecting the name Jesus Smith, and might write "Jesus Christ" in invisible ink one hundred times on each page in his web site.

To sum up what I have learned about you so far, most of it since you began your law suit against me � your career success as private investigator and Nazi hunter has been founded on two great frauds:

  1. The Fifty-Confessions Hoax promulgated by at least the WHARRRF Group of Seven:

    Mike Wallace,
    Don Hewitt,
    Irving Abella,
    F. David Radler,
    Steven Rambam,
    Moshe Ronen, and
    Bernie Farber;

and founded as well upon the great fraud of

  1. The Jewish Show Trial of Julius Viel;

and as well upon a deception which itself does not inflict devastation, but only provides a platform from which you are able to inflict devastation:

  1. The Top 25 Investigators of the Century Hoax.

To the collection of your ethical transgressions must be added your (and Gary Kurtz's) attempt to get the Los Angeles Superior Court to believe that head of the Jewish Defense Organization Mordechai Levy of New York whom you were suing ran Motty�s Arco gas station in Anaheim, California:

In comparison to your four above frauds and hoaxes, your

  1. resorting to invisible ink to bolster your search-engine prominence

is paltry, but nevertheless reinforces your image as an individual whose every move is tainted with deception and manipulation, and recommends the prognosis that you will never throw off the reputation of "classic bullshitter" that author Robert I. Friedman observed you saddling yourself with.
