Erich H. Loewy:

It has come to my attention that following a brief online discussion of the Ukrainian Archive (UKAR) web site at www.ukar.org, and more particularly of my letter to Yitzhak Arad of 09-Mar-1999 at www.ukar.org/arad02.html on the subject of his testimony at the Jerusalem trial of John Demjanjuk in 1987, you added the following statement:

From: Erich Loewy <[email protected]>

Editor's Subject: Re: Treblinka (Loewy)
Author's Subject: Re: Treblinka (Loewy)

This is the problem — I agree with Cheney that to even answer the "Treblinka" didn't exist type of outrage isn't worth doing.  That no amount of proof will convince.  That talking to these people is beneath one's dignity.  And then — when we don't answer them we can hear "well, they do not even have any evidence", etc.  It is a typical passive aggressive move and as always with these folks there is no really appropriate answer (the satisfying one of beating them to a pulp is — alas!!!! — foreclosed).  So what I try to do is to do both — give some evidence and then say that discussing if the earth is or is not flat is not worth doing and walking away (keeping my hands in my pocket).  Any other suggestions (other than taking them out?)
