KUDOS TO Eric Margolis for bringing to the reader's attention the enormity of Stalin's crimes against humanity: "20 million of his own people, including eight million Ukrainians in the 1930s." This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Ukrainian Holocaust which was orchestrated by Stalin and carried out by Lazar Kaganovich and his henchmen. The induced famine occurred during peacetime amidst a plentiful harvest in the "breadbasket of Europe." Ironically, the U.S. recognized the Soviet Union in 1933, even as the famine raged at its fiercest.
