Turning to politics, he [rabbi Yaakov Dov Bleich, Hasidic rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine] cited several prominent Jewish politicians, including six deputies in the Verkhovna Rada, and singled out the very popular mayor of Odesa [Eduard Hurvits], as well as the governor of Vinnytsia. He expects that more Jews will be getting into politics in the future, and, unlike their predecessors, they will not hesitate to pursue the agenda of the Jewish community.
