- The annual Holodomor commemoration on the fourth Saturday of November took place around the world with many commentators noting that the Stalinist genocide of 1932-33 is being repeated by Putin's regime in Ukraine today.

- The Bellingcat Investigation considerably tightens the noose around Vladimir Putin's neck, since it indicates that the Russian Federation supplied both the BUK missile system and the Russian crew that launched the missile. The Amy Knight article reinforces the Bellingcat conclusions and those of other analysts.
- Timothy Snyder notes that Putin admires the policies of  both Hitler (except for his attack on the Soviet Union) and Stalin. In his earlier article, he equates Hitler with Stalin. The Putin-Hitler-Stalin triangle is complete -- all three despots have/had designs to colonize Ukraine and subjugate/eliminate its indigenous population.
- Peter Pomerantsev notes that Kremlin military and intelligence thinkers have been talking about information in "weaponized" terms, as a tool to confuse, blackmail, demoralize, subvert and paralyze.
- Melik Kaylan theorizes that Vladimir Putin has been organizing the turmoil in the Middle East specifically to distract the world from his operations in Ukraine.
- Eastwest Skytalets comment: "A very good article by Anne Applebaum and as good an insight as you will ever get as to what has been happening in Russia over the last 25 years."

E.S. on Ukraine: "Whether this was achieved by gift or coercion, the West is immensely grateful to Poroshenko for this 'pragmatic' approach for which it is now willing to reward Ukraine with more crippling debt, -- but no Marshall plan. This suits Putin as well since it matters little to him how Ukraine fails, whether by war or financial meltdown, as long as it fails."
