- Timothy Snyder does a good job in explaining the Russia-Ukraine historical context, as well as very accurately describing the present situation in Ukraine.
- Anne Applebaum suggests that huge military invasions such as Iraq and World War Two may have been supplanted by covert invasions involving Spetsnaz forces orchestrating criminal gangs, local thugs, titushky, volunteers taking over civilian infrastructure such as police stations, city councils, airports.
- Bohdan Futala disembowels the Ukrainophobic articles of Stephen Cohen supporting the actions of Vladimir Putin and his murderous regime.
- Thomas Theiner explains how Vladimir Putin has corrupted "scholars, journalists and pundits"; "politicians and parties", "managers and corrporations"; and even "nations". Putin's corruption drive is designed to destroy the European Union.

- The basic premise of Karen Dawisha's proposed book is that "Putin's power is founded on his links to organised crime". "The Putin Murders" ( Putin-Murders-1997-2009.html ) detailing the arrests and assassinations of people exposing and/or criticizing Vladimir Putin and his regime indicate the psychopathic/sociopathic nature of Mr. Putin's character. That Cambridge University Press would decline to publish Ms. Dawisha's book for fear of defamation litigation speaks volumes as to the decadence of British society -- first, they accept and launder the money of the criminal Oligarchs and select Russian bureaucrats; then they use their infamous "defamation laws" to squelch any criticism of these criminals and their criminal acts."
- Within the Putin's Fictions link, the U.S. State Department and NATO issue 4 statements countering the disinformation that Putin and his news media are disseminating around the world. In addition, links to U.S. Department of State: Ukraine  and to its U.S. DipNote Blog with the 7 latest entries are appended.
