On Ukrainian Unity Day on 22Jan2010, President Viktor Yushchenko conferred Hero of Ukraine status to Stepan Bandera. In commemoration of the Battle of Kruty (29Jan1918), President Yushchenko issued an Ukase on 28Jan2010  recognizing OUN-UPA as “Heroes of Ukraine”. The vitriolic reaction of Russian, Jewish and Ukrainophobic elements is simply amazing. Many of the comments are reproduced in the articles below.

Trident welcomes changes to caregiver regulations Marco Levytsky

The article above, describing a live-in-caregiver program sponsored by the Canadian government, may prove to be an extremely useful program for both the Ukrainian Canadian community and aspiring young Ukrainians in Ukraine, who would like to work in Canada and, perhaps, eventually immigrate here. Typically the professionally-trained caregivers look after elderly retired seniors or act as a nanny for working couples with young children.
