In Memoriam: Rachel Corrie, March 16, 2003

Four years ago in the land of Palestine, a bulldozer driven by an IDF Zionist soldier crushed the life out of Rachel Corrie, who was trying to protect the home of a Palestinian family from destruction. It was a harbinger of the fate of the Iraq War, which the United States launched 3 days later -- over 3,000 American deaths, over 600,000 Iraqi deaths, over 2 million Iraqi refugees, sectarian violence and civil war leading to the complete destruction of the civilian infrastructure and Iraqi state.

If the plans of the hardline Zionists and American warmongers are not thwarted, it is the harbinger of the fate of Iran, Afghanistan and of many other nations in the Middle East. It is also the harbinger of the fate of the United States and of the American people.

For the broken face of Rachel Corrie is a symbol of our times.

It is a symbol of the dreams of every young person who wants to contribute to the wellbeing of humanity, but whose efforts are crushed with brutal force.

It is a symbol of many young nations this past century trying to overcome oppression, but being manipulated and crushed by the realpolitik of the power elites.

It is a symbol of Hate, Deceit and Vengeance triumphing over Love, Truth and Righteousness.

It is a symbol of Good being crushed by Evil.

Respectfully yours
