- We have not yet had an opportunity to review The Red Web except to note that a Ctrl-F search for "Ukrain" yields well over 100 hits especially in the last three Chapters 13 to 15.
- The New Autocracy editted by Daniel Treisman with 11 chapters by different authors provides a detailed analysis of Russia since 1991. Unfortunately, the last Chapter 11 on Crimea lacks references to Igor Girkin and the "Putin Khuylo" chant that was sung by Ukraine's football fans, which went viral around the world.

- Andreas Umland has re-visited the theory that on 17Jul2014, the original intent was to deliberately shoot  down an Aeroflot passenger plane flying south from Moscow and use it as an excuse to send in the regular Russian army to occupy Ukraine. - Ms. Kozyreva details how Viktor Yanukovych and his "Family" laundered billions of dollars of Ukraine's money into foreign bank accounts.
- Philip Bump analyzes Robert Mueller's indictment dated 13Jul2018 of 12 Russian GRU intelligence agents.
- Balint Magyar defines the classical mafia as the organized underworld in contrast to the mafia state as the organized upperworld. Hungary is an example.
- AFP reports that Viktor Orban of Hungary denounced the sanctions against Russia, which is extremely worrying to Ukraine.
- The article by the Clean Technica founder clearly indicates that illicit oil money is largely responsible for the corruption in Russia, Ukraine and around the world.
