Blogspot, 11Jul2011; blackrod
Blackrod
continues exposing the financial
shenanigans associated with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
The
long rambling article by CBC employee,
Ira Basen, on the CMHR generated a myriad of comments from readers,
some of
which are appended at the bottom of the article. In answer to Mr.
Basen’s
rhetorical question as to what the government can do if the
expectations of
Canadians are not met, my answer is “Fire Stuart Murray as CEO and
remove James
Moore as Heritage Minister”. Although Dan Lett of the Winnipeg Free
Press
continues supporting the Asper vision of the CMHR, the vast majority of
the comments
are critical.

Is
HURI still out there? ePoshta | 03Sep2011 | Myron
Kuropas [W.Z.]
In
Defense of the Ukrainian People UAMuzik, 02Sep2011;
Vasyl Pawlowsky [W.Z.]
Having
returned to Canada after an eight
year stint in Ukraine, Vasyl Pawlowsky is intimately familiar with the
intricacies of Ukrainian politics. In this blog, he highlights the sad
plight
of Yulia Tymoshenko and especially Yuri Lutsenko. It
appears that Yuri Lutsenko may be following in the footsteps of
Vasyl Stus, who died a martyr’s death on 04Sep1985 in the Soviet forced
labour
camp for political prisoners Perm-36. To get on Mr.
Pawlowsky’s blog
mailing list simply type in and “submit” your Email address on his blog
site. I
suspect that you will always get a good read.
Myron
Kuropas outlines the history of the
Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute (HURI) and laments its decline in
relevance for Ukrainian issues. Perhaps Dr. Kuropas could do a similar
analysis
on the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies (CIUS).

Dr.
Ulrich
Busch's Speech -- Human Rights -- Kyiv Ukrainian World
Congress, 20Aug2011,
Ulrich Busch
As
the lead lawyer for John Demjanjuk at
his 209-2011 Munich trial, Ulrich Busch emphasizes that in the
1986-1988
Jerusalem trial four
countries -- Moscow,
the United States, Israel and Poland -- had all the evidence that John
Demjanjuk was not Ivan the Terrible. In Munich, the German prosecutors
and
court overturned all the precedents established over the past 70 years
in the
prosecution of “Nazi war criminals”.
On
19Jul2011, the Demjanjuk defense
launched court action against the OSI in front of Judge Dan Aaron
Polster
asking that the citizenship revocation and deportation ruling be
vacated. (See
links in green below.) Links to the 22 Exhibits A to V are now
available via
