Dear Will and Lily [Zuzak],
Thank you kindly for your letter, the "Critique" and the season's greetings. We were very happy to hear from you again. We both are feeling fine. Lydia and Len are both up North, in Faro, Yukon. A few days ago we had a letter from Lydia, which I enclose. It is sad that she was unable to find a better job, but they hope to save some money, to be able to eventually go East looking for better employment.
We hope that our dreams will come true and Danylo [Shumuk] will come to live with us, but for the time being we will have to just wait and see. I will let you know as soon as possible about the news of his arrival.
On a separate section of my letter, I wrote down a few of my ideas regarding our problems with the Jews, which you might be interested to discuss with some people. Perhaps I don't make much sense, but this is what I believe should be done.
Thank you, Lily, for your phone call, and to both of you for your friendly offer to help me out, in case I have to come to Montreal. We both appreciate it very much.
Greetings and best wishes.
Yours sincerely
Ivan Shumuk
