Black Days

Missing from the media scrum surrounding Lord and Lady Black outside a Chicago courthouse was a Greek chorus delivering a mournful editorial comment on the nature of hubris. But like U.S. President Richard Nixon, whose biography he’s written, Black was undone by his own  unbending character. To quote Nixon: “I brought myself down.”
