Philip Baker, the dean of medicine at the University of Alberta who
plagiarized parts of a convocation speech, should have been mindful of
a cautionary rule that political pundit Bill Maher instituted last year
for all wannabe politicians: “Everything you say can and will be used
against you in a Google search.”
