Israel apologists
Michael Coren (“Ship of fools,” June 4, 2011) and Salim Mansur
(“Undeserving case for a Palestinian state,” June 4, 2011) appear to be
working in tandem to flog a pro-Israel line. This as the Arab masses
empowered by the reach of social media and a collective determination
to be rid of tyrants make the old despotic status quo across the Arab
world increasingly untenable. By stubbornly clinging to her own
self-serving status quo as an occupier of Arab lands, Israel’s
isolation is bound to become absolute, making the rearguard advocacy by
apologists like Coren and Mansur sound ever more shrill.
