Blind ideology
Re: “Why it’s barbaric,” Lorrie Goldstein, March 17, 2011.
It’s bad enough Justin Trudeau seeks to debate the suitability of the
adjective “barbaric” as applied to such barbaric anti-Canadian
practices as honour killings and female circumcision, but to do so
awkwardly only makes him look like the out-of-touch limousine liberal
he is. In fairness to Trudeau, all ideologues are some to some extent
willfully blinkered. Sometimes, he is so totally blindsided by ideology
the ideologue will spout patent nonsense. This was one of them.
Unfortunately, it didn’t give us the momentary comic relief we all so
badly crave about now.

sure, but not from politicians being unintentional clowns. Bring back
Gilbert Gottfried!)
