Given the controversial outcome of the trial of onetime Russian oil
tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a senior official within the Obama
administration is quoted as saying the guilty verdict may imperil
Russia's chances of gaining admission as a member to the World Trade
Organization, claiming the WTO is "a rules-based, rule of law
organization."
Who's he kidding?
The WTO has more than 150 member nations, many of whom are corrupt to
the core, including Myanmar, Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of
Congo.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's Russia would fit right in.
