Work of fiction
Re: “Atwood’s U.S. sellout,” Kory Teneycke (Sept. 03, 2010): Last year,
Margaret Atwood pulled out of a book fair in Dubai citing censorship by
the fair’s organizers as the reason.
This year, Atwood is onside with wannabe censors seeking to block the
launch of a new news channel on the Canadian airwaves.
A sometime free speech advocate who finds the notion of a 501st TV
channel in a 500-channel universe intolerable. Sounds like the wacky
story line from a Kurt Vonnegut novel.

(Atwood’s finally starting to figure out she screwed up and is
shrinking into the background after her blunder)
