Jim Wilson’s ad hominem swipe at Kevin Neish (Letters, June 9, 2010) is
freighted with contradiction. First, he tells the peace activist to
“crawl back under a slime-covered rock.” Then he suggests that’s one
way he would possibly have “more respect” for Neish. Surely, what
Wilson ought to be saying is he sees a way whereby he could feel
somewhat less contempt -- unless, he ascribes to respect a meaning
quite different from that found in any English dictionary.
