Parliamentary democracy?

Abe Lincoln defined representative democracy as "government of the people, by the people, for the people." In theory, I'm sure most Canadian parliamentarians would agree; but in practice, they evidently consider it government of the MPs, by the MPs and, most especially, for the MPs.

By denying the auditor general oversight of their expense accounts, totalling some $500,000,000, they demonstrate that collectively all have something they'd rather remained secret. Time to come clean, boys and girls!
