Re: Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty's decision to shelve sex-ed revamp plan

As a boy in the late 50s, I roomed beside two passionate newlyweds in my parents' rooming house. Some nights, the couple made sleep impossible, eliciting exasperated appeals for quiet from other tenants. It was about this time my mother strode into my room late one evening, saw me reading a pocketbook and, without saying a word, relieved me of it and made an inspection of its content. Satisfied the pocketbook was neither erotic nor pornographic, she gave it back.

However the McGuinty government ultimately decides to proceed with implementing a new sex-ed curriculum, let's hope the new curriculum will be informed by realism as much as by reason.
