RE: "NO point in playing nice with Hezbollah," by Mindelle Jacobs, Edmonton Sun, Aug. 22, 2006. Jacobs describes the socio-political situation across south Lebanon as getting "murkier" and therefore, presumably, harder to read. But, fortunately, Jacobs has a pair of Israeli Army issue night goggles that enable her to see right through the murk and even track the gross self-deception happening inside Lebanese minds: "They fail to see that it was Hezbollah that was responsible for the death of their loved ones and the destruction of their homes" - not the Israeli Air Force, which actually dropped the bombs.
If she likes, Jacobs can be next in line to borrow my rose-coloured glasses. Trained on the year 1982, they don't show how Israel's brutal invasion of Lebanon spawned the hard-core Islamic movement, Hezbollah.
