Surgical nuclear strikes

The Editor:

In his Remembrance Day column, Nov. 11, 2001 ("Surgical nuclear strikes will put end to terrorism"), Paul Jackson, a.k.a. Dr Stangelove, suggests "we can make some pre-emptive surgical nuclear strikes and end Islamic terrorism for the next 100 years." Islamic populations in cities like Kabul, Baghdad and Tehran, he further suggests, could be exterminated with neutron bombs, leaving the real estate intact.

Question for Paul Jackson: Inasmuch as Osama bin Laden and his Al-Qaeda network are largely a Saudi phenomenon financed by Saudi oil wealth would "not ... pussyfooting around" also include nuclear or neutron bombs lobbed on the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh, and the two holy cities of Mecca and Medina?
