Defamation argument

VANCOUVER
Lawyers for a man who lives with a B.C. Supreme Court judge and is alleged to have transfered assets into her name while facing defamation proceedings in the U.S. were in B.C. Supreme Court yesterday.

They argued that a $250,000 defamation judgment in California against Lubomyr Prytulak, who lives with Justice Mary Marvyn Koenigsberg, should not be registered in B.C.

The hearing before Chief Justice Donald Brenner continues today.
