For the sake of justice and historical truth, the hunt for genuine Nazi war criminals must be extended to include Soviet and other Communist war criminals (Montreal Gazette, Comment, July 02, 2002 "A war crime is a war crime"), many of whom are living peacefully in Canada and the U.S., unburdened by even the faintest worry that their crimes will ever come to light. Owing to the left-leaning and openly Marxist positions of many academics and journalists in the world, particularly in the West, we have seen the emergence of an absurd practice whereby Nazi war crimes are considered to be more heinous than Communist crimes during war and peace.
This absurdity has led to bizarre witch-hunts throughout the world, which are aimed at extraditing even people like the much-persecuted Ontario man Wasyl Odynsky mentioned in Lubomyr Luciuk's article, who were compelled under threat of death to serve the German war machine during World War II.
The Canadian government should immediately cease the senseless persecution of Mr. Odynsky, who was clearly exonerated of any evildoing.
