I was wondering when your newspaper would hit rock bottom. It did just that in yesterday's above noted article. That was where your newspaper took great pains to educate readers that accused war criminal, Michael Seifert, was "Ukrainian-born". Precisely what this revelation added to the story is not known. However, it's not difficult to detect the motivation -- yet again, to smear one targeted ethnic group so as to create a diversion from the crimes against humanity that Israelis perpetrate against the Palestinians. Identification of a person accused of war crimes by ethnicity -- especially when this never occurs in the case of Jews, whose war criminal population is exploding as we speak -- is about as low as your Asper-directed amen corner can stoop.
