Dear Editor of Maclean's:

Julian Beltrame's article misses two points. One is the unconscionable fixation of Elinor Caplan and Anne McLellan on deporting Canadian citizens on bogus 50-year old war crimes allegations, to the tune of over $50 million, instead of concentrating on prosecution of real terrorists who continue to elude our "Swiss cheese" refugee procedures.

The second is in reminding readers of the plight of poor Israelis, forced to cope with the threat of terrorism daily -- this, without mentioning the more numerous Palestinian victims, forced to cope with Israeli state terrorism, perpetrated against an unprotected and demonized minority.
