Dear Editor of Toronto Star:

Your article from December 27th, 2000 reached us recently, much to our consternation. Really, how many times do the members of this formation have to be cleared (i.e. Deschenes Commission, 1986; British authorities in 1950; Justice Minister's statement, 1999, and so on) before sleazy media-magnates finally get the message? For your information: the Division was formed to fight against Soviet occupation and Soviet perpetrated war crimes against the Ukrainian people. Period. They could not help the fact that 50% of the madmen who conducted genocide in Ukraine were of a certain ethnic background, because that was the latter's free choice. Is that understood?

Besides, has it occurred to you that crimes against humanity are now, right now, being perpetrated in various parts of the world -- Chechnya, Middle East, etc. are places that come to mind. Perhaps you'd care to do an in depth analysis of who the real criminals in our society are?
