Dear Editor of National Post:

Frank Ellis' article "Communism's legacy remains unpunished", along with your editorial "The traitorous granny" (Sept. 14, 1999) were two of the most welcome and timely pieces appearing in Canada's media. Welcome because it is high time the public understood and appreciated Dr. Ellis' exposing the fraud of one-sided indignation. Timely because of the fixation of our federal government and its rooting section lobby on so-called Nazi war criminal prosecution, to the exclusion of any such genuine rogues from the blood-thirsty Soviet era.

As for your editorial, it is hoped the British and our Canadian governments take immediate note of this unacceptable injustice, and take swift steps to prosecute all the Melita Norwoods living peacefully among us as "quiet neighbors".
