Subject: RCMP and Bre-X scandal

Dear Editor of National Post:

Let me see if I can understand this news story. The RCMP who, after they sifted through mountains of documents all no more than several years old, announced they have concluded there is insufficient evidence to proceed with charges against anyone involved in the greatest stock market scam in history. Is this not the same RCMP who gathered and submitted information to Federal Court judges concerning "criminal acts" committed by persons in Eastern Europe more than 55 years ago, and on which these judges recommend denaturalization and deportation of people against whom not a shred of probative evidence exists of wrongdoing? Simply amazing, provided you have the right political connections.
