Dear Mr. Assadourian:

Our organization, formed in 1927, consists of over 1,000 members on whose behalf I heartily thank and congratulate you for your letter and views which appeared in today's Globe & Mail edition.

You have displayed a level of understanding, sensitivity and commitment to fairness far above that customarily found in Canada's political ranks. Please be assured that our membership stands behind your call for an inclusive, federally-funded, national genocide museum, and this without reservation. With this level of support, we urge you NOT to back down or be intimidated by any forces foolish enough to call for unwarranted exclusivity.

P.S. I must add that Canadians of Armenian descent are no strangers to me and my wife personally. For over 10 years we associated closely with about 3 Armenian families who then resided in Edmonton. We had common familial experiences at the hands of dictatorial regimes. It was also a wonderful cultural experience, especially since we learned to enjoy "piloff, tsook and lahmagene!"
