Stockwell Day unveiled a Legislated Debt Payment Plan which would pay down the debt at a minimum rate of $6 billion. Make it politician proof.

The Canadian National debt is presently $565 billion, the interest charges on which are $41 billion per year (7.25%) or about 25 cents of every tax dollar collected.
