British activist blames MP for border snub

Re: "British activist blames MP for border snub," Nov. 24, 2010.

In his signature raucous voice, George Galloway wondered aloud why MP Jason Kenney still sits in Stephen Harper's cabinet. He then answered his own question by referring to government documents tabled in the suit he brought after being denied entry into Canada last year, where the judge ruled the motives had been purely political, despite official claims it was for reasons of national security.

They plainly show, Galloway said, Harper was also "complicit" in keeping the then long-serving British MP out, and hence, he concluded, unlikely to evict Kenney from cabinet over a plot in which the prime minister himself actively participated -- now generally acknowledged to have backfired; with Kenney rendering yeoman service as Galloway's de facto publicist.
