If, as Mindelle Jacobs says, both the John Howard Society and the
Elizabeth Fry Society generally oppose making the collection of DNA
from criminals mandatory, they should expect a visit from the logic
police for flouting common sense. That said, let's hope tell-tale DNA
samples will be found inside the McCanns' stolen SUV that may provide
the RCMP with fresh leads in their weeks-old missing persons case.
