I heard you on radio today [31May2010] on CBC. Thanks for your scholarly input! I
agree the "optics" in this situation from the Israel perspective aren't
good. I've a hunch they're going to proceed to dig themselves into an
even deeper hole.
I was en route to the Palestinian demonstration. It was, in fact, very
civil and even a tad restrained, I thought. One sign bannered: "Bibi
Netanyahu: The Worst Landlord in the World." A single pinprick,
true. But 10,000,000 such derisive pinpricks can add up to a
severe image problem for the Jewish state -- one that, I dare say,
would rival BP's.
Again, thank you for an enlightening 20 minutes of radio dialogue.
