Her naked greed

Re: Newspaper sting leaves Duchess of York 'devastated,' May 24, 2010.

Watching online videotape of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, selling access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew to an undercover tabloid journalist, I was struck by the absence of style and elegance on her part. The tawdriness of her money-grubbing was compounded by the vapid nature of her speech and mannerisms.

As one who grew up in the 1950s dutifully asking that "God save our gracious queen," when, of course, the British royals were deemed beyond reproach, it was Sarah Ferguson's lack of graciousness that struck me most. Alas, no sign of any refinement mitigated her woeful display of naked greed.

Fergie money-grubbing tawdry

Re: The 500,000-pound Duchess, May 24, 2010

Watching online videotape of Fergie, a.k.a. the Duchess of York, selling access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew to an undercover tabloid journalist, I was struck by a total absence of style and elegance on her part. The tawdriness of her money-grubbing was compounded by the vapid nature of her speech and mannerisms.
