Decision is political

The federal cabinet's decision to strip Helmut Oberlander of his citizenship makes me sick. For the first time in my life, I am ashamed to be a Canadian.

What kind of government convicts a man without a shred of evidence? What kind of government destroys the reputation of an exemplary citizen for political expediency? Shame on the leaders of this country and shame on those who are pressuring them to harass an innocent man.
