"Because of Swiss collaboration, the people of Ukraine will for still more years be kept from developing their talents and realizing their potential.  Because the Swiss can never get enough money, Ukrainians will suffer hunger.  Because the Swiss are never rich enough, Ukrainians will suffer cold." Lubomyr Prytulak

Adolf Ogi:

It seems not entirely justifiable to me that the world press incessantly talks of Swiss financial crimes during World War II, but ignores the highly similar one could argue worse financial crimes being committed by Switzerland on a continuous basis today.  One cannot read of any major pimp, drug lord, gun runner, or dictator without learning that Swiss banks have been his accomplices in hiding his money, and thus making his work profitable, and more importantly possible.

By means of such partnership with evil, Switzerland promotes the growth of sex slavery, drug trafficking, illicit arms dealing, and the enslavement of nations.  By means of such collaboration with crime, the Swiss buy wealth at the cost of misery to hundreds of millions of people the world over.  For this reason, it can be said that Switzerland constitutes one of the most productive sources of evil in this world not because of any evil that Switzerland commits directly, but because of the vast amount of evil that it makes possible for others to commit.

I am reminded of these conclusions by yet another in an endless stream of references to Swiss participation in exploitative transactions which I find in the following excerpt from Sue Lackey's U.S. Accused of Ignoring Ukrainian Abuse of IMF Funds on the MSNBC web site of 09Mar2000:

According to Bartow, here's how the scheme worked:

  • IMF money was transferred to the Ukrainian National Bank, which in turn transferred the funds to a branch of Credit Suisse First Boston in Cyprus, where it returned 6 percent legitimate interest to the Ukrainian government.

  • Credit Suisse allegedly transferred the IMF money to Cyronavus and Cymenko, two companies in Cyprus.  This was an illegal and unrecorded transaction; according to Credit Suisse books, the IMF money remained with the bank.

  • The companies bought Ukrainian government bonds, which are meant only for foreign investors.  On the surface, the transaction looked legal, but the bonds were actually purchased with the IMF funds, which is forbidden by the IMF.

  • The bonds returned between 55 percent and 65 percent in interest, and, after cuts to intermediaries at the companies involved, the proceeds were transferred to secret off-shore and Swiss accounts controlled by Kuchma.  On the books, the IMF money continued to reside at Credit Suisse and return only 6 percent to the Ukraine.

  • Finally, Kuchma used the diverted profits to shut down political opponents in his successful re-election campaign, Bartow said.

By means of the above, and other, stratagems, the Swiss, with profit to themselves, have assisted the gangster Leonid Kuchma to retain power over Ukraine, where it is to be expected that he will plunder the nation in his second term in office as ruthlessly as he did in his first term.  Because of Swiss collaboration, the people of Ukraine will for still more years be kept from developing their talents and realizing their potential.  Because the Swiss can never get enough money, Ukrainians will suffer hunger.  Because the Swiss are never rich enough, Ukrainians will suffer cold.

And so for years more to come, Ukrainians will spend much time cursing the mobster Leonid Kuchma whom the West has installed to rule over them, and cursing the Swiss who fatten their pockets by propping him up.
