This article by John Pancake just at the beginning of the disasterous
reign of Victor Yanukovych (2010-2014) initiated the attack on the
Ukrainian Independence Movement and, thus, on Ukraine's independence.
The Washington Post declined to publish a rebuttal by the Ukrainian
American Bar Association. Victor Rud has provided the UABA response and
Ukrainian translations of the two articles. One notes that the
Ukrainophobes (fifth-columnists?) undermining Ukraine's independence
that were
operating in 2010 are still active in 2015.

For her Ph.D. dissertation on the "politics of memory", Yuliya Yurchuk
discusses 3 monuments in Rivne (Ukraine) dedicated to OUN-UPA
resistance to occupying forces during WW2 and interviews the
inhabitants of Rivne as to their perceptions of Klym Savur and Taras
Bulba-Borovets. Unfortunately, she blindly parrots the negative views
of Himka and Rudling towards "nationalists" and the "far right".
