An article in the Kitchener Waterloo Record titled “Process fails us all in Oberlander case” at
http://news.therecord.com/Opinions/article/437665  lambasts the d&d process.

We fully agree! The denaturalization and deportation policy initiated in January 1995 by the Allan Rock of the Liberal government to replace criminal prosecution was ill-conceived and should never have been allowed to happen. It remains a permanent blot on our judiciary and legal system, which can only be removed by an apology and full monetary compensation to its victims.

Two items concerning Demjanjuk have recently appeared. The first, in the 11Nov2008 issue of the Montreal Gazette by  Josie Cox (Reuters) at

is titled “We want 'Ivan' for new trial - Nazi hunter”. We note that Ms. Cox does not mention that the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) perpetrated "fraud on the court" to revoke Mr. Demjanjuk's citizenship and to extradite him to Israel.

More serious is a news report broadcast on 25Nov2008 by Ukrainian TV Channel 1+1, in which German Prosecutor Kurt Schrimm announces his intention to try to extradite John Demjanjuk  to Germany to stand trial for war crimes. A video excerpt posted by “babenko” on youtube at

has correspondent Natalia Fibrig regurgitating the discredited Trawniki ID card of some 20 years ago and referring to “new found evidence” with regard to 29,000 deaths in Sobibor.

It is disturbing that at the height of Ukrainian efforts to bring the attention of the world to the Holodomor genocide, the Holocaust industry continues in its efforts to defame Ukrainians. It is, perhaps, not just a coincidence that “Notable through their absence at the Holodomor forum in Ukraine were the nations most experienced in Genocide -- Germany and the Russian Federation” as pointed out recently by Mirko Petriw.
